10 Skincare Mistakes That Make Your Acne Worse

We are all conscious about taking care of the skin to get healthy and glowing skin. Sometimes we don’t know the skin problem and we keep trying different remedies, skin products, and supplements to make our skin more glowing and clear but instead of positive results it’s getting worse day by day and causing more acne and skin problems. It’s because we aren’t aware of some mistakes which we are repeating in our skincare. So let’s discuss those mistakes we might be making till now and get some awareness and improve our daily skincare. All your skin might need is just basic hydration. Here are the 10 skincare mistakes that make your acne worse.

1 – Cleansing aggressively

It includes cleansing your skin or washing your face with soap or face wash many times a day. Some people take 8 to 10 minutes to cleanse and think that it purifying their skin yes it’s purifying your skin but at the same time it’s taking all the essential components and natural moisture from your skin. By too much cleansing you are actually disturbing or damaging your skin.

2 – Physically abusing your skin

I have been doing this mistake for so long as I wasn’t aware of it. We physically abuse our skin by using or rubbing towels on the skin, in order to wipe it or by overusing cotton pads or wipes to remove the makeup. Always remember while removing make or cleansing your skin be as gentle as possible. Do not put any pressure on your finger or hand.

3 – Leaving cleansing water on your skin

Whenever you use cleansing water must wash your face with lukewarm water. some people use it as a toner and after using it they think that it’s ok to sleep with it. It is very dangerous and also some dermatologists pointing this mistake that does not leave your skin with cleansing water.

4 – Treating all skin areas equally

Understand the physiological difference of different areas on your skin. Some people have oily T-zone, the cheek area has some sunspots or pigmentation, some people have reddish on their cheeks. The eye area is probably the most sensitive area of your skin. For example, if you are using a clay mask on your face there will be instructions by the brand that put the mask on all over your face for 10 to 15 minutes but it is your skin. You should know how to treat it. If your cheeks are sensitive and have acne issues don’t put the mask on your cheeks. Treat your skin area differently. For example, if you have acne on your cheeks and you are applying some medication don’t rub it on all your face. just apply to the acne area.

5 – Using the different range of active ingredients

I know some people are too much curious to remove their acne for that they are using so many different acne products at the same time. Always remember to give time to heal your skin, let them breathe. If you will be using products one by one and not giving proper time to show their effects, no product will work on your skin. It will probably damage the skin layers and can cause more and worse acne.

6 – Not moisturizing oily skin

Some people think that if you have oily skin then you should keep it dry in order to balance your skin. But it’s wrong oily skin also needs moisturization. In fact, a lot of you people have oily but dehydrated skin. By not moisturizing you people think that oil will be controlled and skin will not be greasy and acne will reduce. Hydration is necessary for your skin. You can use a suitable organic hydration cream.

7 – Not using sunscreen

Sunscreen is very essential for your skin. Do not go outside without using sunscreen. sunscreen gives you protection from the damaging rays of the sun. Some people actually use acne products to cure their acne but they don’t use sunscreen while going out or in front of the Sun rays. When you do not put a layer between your skin and sun rays it will damage your skin layer. And this will give you hyperpigmentation and sunspots and so many other skin diseases. So make sure while going outside always put sunscreen on your face.

8 – Using too many products than your skin needs

Firstly identify that what your skin craves. What your skin really needs. Some people use way too many products to treat their skin but they actually don’t know what their skin actually needs.

9 – Starting anti-aging products way too early

Some people are afraid that their skin will be affected by age so they started anti-aging products way too early which is not good for their skin. Don’t use anti-aging products before a certain age. Anti-aging active products such as retinol and vitamin C push your skin to do certain things. Your skin does go through some stress. It is really very good for those who have aging skin or someone who has mature skin. But if you’re using it way too early it can cause premature aging. If you are in teenager all you have to do is give a relaxing massage to your skin, and keep hydrating your skin. If you have good skin always remember you have to use the anti-aging products after 25 or in your early thirties.

10 – Not switching pillowcases

Actually, it’s not a skincare mistake but you can see that by not switching pillowcases you can invite more acne. Because some people have breakouts and they all are using one pillowcase and not switching it. That is very bad keep switching pillowcases and use a comfortable and Soft pillowcase that will not affect your skin and do not give heat to your skin. Because heat can easily invite aging.

So these are all 10 skincare mistakes that make your acne worse, which we actually repeat in our skincare.
